North Carolina Stage Company is Asheville's professional theatre. We produced our first play in April 2002, and we've been named Best Local Stage Company by readers of the Mountain Xpress for 4 years in a row. We perform in our 99-seat, off Broadway-style theatre in the heart of downtown Asheville.
The plays we produce value story and character over spectacle, and include diverse offerings like Hamlet, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Doubt, A Parable.
