For centuries, humans have looked to the heavens for guidance and security. Astrology is, put simply, the study of the relationship between the position of the sun, moon and planets and events on earth. Astrologers believe that the positions of the heavenly bodies at the time of a person's birth have a direct influence on that person's character and destiny. However, astrologers feel that free will plays a large role in any individual's life. There is no single unified theory or practice of Western astrology and Eastern cultures continue to practice their own forms of astrology: Chinese, Vedic and Tibetan astrology are among the most well-known. Astrologers use many different methods to help their clients understand human character and live more joyful and productive lives.
