42nd Annual Bascom Lamar Lunsford ''Minstrel of Applachia'' Festival

This festival at Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, NC, showcases the talent and traditions of the region's finest musicians and dancers. Daytime activities will run from 11 a.m. to 4p.m. and will include a main stage featuring over 15 performances, a gospel stage, a traditional ballad and story swap, impromptu jam circles, and dancing. An evening concert featuring different performances by the region's best-ballad singers, dancers, and string bands will begin at 7 p.m. Join us in honoring the rich cultural traditions of the Southern Appalachians!
