The Asheville Community Theatre got its start back on June 12, 1946 with a small notice in the local paper. Today Asheville proudly calls the ACT it’s longest running community theatre group. They provide marvelous productions ranging from mystery to comedy, and everything in between. In addition to excellent performances, the ACT provides theatre classes, costume & equipment rentals, and even a Community Outreach program.
