U.S. Cellular to Offer Free Device Workshop At Three Buncombe County Locations
With a recent study showing a nearly 80 percent increase in smartphone shipments from a year ago, there are plenty of first-time smartphone users who may want a little help figuring out everything their advanced phones have to offer. U.S. Cellular is hosting free workshops at three of its Buncombe County retail stores to guide customers through all of the functions and features of its Android-powered devices, BlackBerry and Windows smartphones. The next device workshops are scheduled for Friday, March 11 at 9 a.m.1918 Hendersonville Road in Skyland, Saturday, March 12 at 8 a.m. at 1043 Patton Avenue and on Friday, March 18 at 8 a.m. at 7 North Ridge Commons Parkway in Weaverville. All questions are welcome from current and potential smartphone users, and the workshops will cover both basic and advanced uses.
Associates will answer questions and demonstrate common features such as e-mail access, web browsing, calendar synchronization and browsing for apps. Attendees can also learn how U.S. Cellular's high-speed nationwide network can boost their smartphone experience, along with the benefits of The Belief Project, the company's array of innovative initiatives that recognize customer loyalty with bundled national plans that offer customers the freedom to enjoy benefits without signing continuous contracts. With "no contract after the first," new customers who complete a two-year contract will never have to sign another one and will continue to get guaranteed upgrades to the newest phones at promotional prices every 18 months. Customers get valuable rewards just for being customers and can get even faster upgrades in as little as 10 months when they use their rewards.
"Device Workshops are great for new smartphone owners or anyone who wants to make sure they are getting the most out of their handsets. Our associates enjoy helping customers personalize their devices to fit their lifestyles," said Janet Hanshaw, store manager for U.S. Cellular.
Several of U.S. Cellular's value-packed bundled plans are a perfect fit for smartphone users. The $69.99 Primary Plus Plan is the best value in wireless and offers 5GB of data with unlimited text, picture and video messaging, and free GPS Navigation. The monthly service plan also comes with 450 voice minutes with free incoming calls, free nights and weekends and free mobile-to-mobile calls.
The Device Workshops are open to current smartphone owners and anyone interested in upgrading to a smartphone. The workshop also is open to everyone.
The Device Workshop is being offered each month at U.S. Cellular retail stores across North Carolina. All smartphone accessories will be 25 percent off. To learn more about these workshops or The Belief Project, please contact your local U.S. Cellular store.
About The Belief Project
The Belief Project, recently named Frost & Sullivan's Customer Value Enhancement of the Year, recognizes customer loyalty with national bundled plans that offer customers the freedom to enjoy industry-leading benefits without signing continuous contracts.
With "no contract after the first," new customers who complete a two-year contract will never have to sign another one and will continue to get guaranteed upgrades to the newest phones at promotional prices every 18 months. Existing customers who switch to the new Belief Plans can simply finish out their current contract and never sign a contract again.
While some carriers are increasing the time for phone upgrades, U.S. Cellular customers automatically get valuable rewards just for being a customer that can be used for even faster phone upgrades in as little as 10 months. Rewards can also be used to get additional lines, phones, accessories and ringtones. Customers who refer a friend to a Belief Plan get 1,000 reward points, along with the friend who signed up that could be used to get a new phone one month faster.
Customers can save up to 5 percent on their monthly plans for setting up autopay and paperless billing. U.S. Cellular also introduced the industry's only Phone Replacement program for customers on select plans. If a customer's phone accidentally breaks or stops working, U.S. Cellular replaces it with the same or similar model at no additional cost.
These innovative initiatives were developed to elevate the customer experience and create a human relationship with customers, not a contractual one. For more information about The Belief Project, visit uscellular.com.
