UNCA Men Win 5th Straight
In a surprising turn of events, UNC-Asheville's men's basketball team reclaims its stakes in this season with major help from player John Williams. Reports Keith Jarrett from the Asheville Citizen Times:
The squad that was committing turnovers at an alarming rate is now getting solid guard play. And a season on the verge of being lost two weeks ago suddenly has promise. UNC Asheville continued its winning ways Saturday, letting most of a 16-point second-half lead evaporate before closing strong to put away Presbyterian, 99-89, at the Justice Center. Junior forward John Williams paced the Bulldogs (8-12, 5-4 Big South) with a career-high 25 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots.
