Urban Harvest Dinner to Highlight Top Chefs, Local Food, Urban Agriculture
On Friday, September 25, 2009 at 6pm, The Bountiful Cities Project, Asheville's Urban Agriculture and Food Security organization, will host the first of a series of "BCP's Urban Harvest Dinners," at the Pearson Drive Community Garden in Montford. The dinners are elegant, on-garden evenings to raise funds for BCP's ongoing outreach and education programs in many community gardens and urban farms throughout the city of Asheville. Read more...
Asheville City Chickens Meetup
Now that Asheville's Animal Control Ordinance has been changed to be more permissive of urban chickens, it's time to shift Asheville City Chickens from a grassroots political group to a group of engaged urban chickeners interested in raising chickens in a city setting and dedicated to helping others in their endeavors.
