Short Street Cakes Launches New Spring Menu on Wednesday, April 7th
Short Street Cakes, Asheville's 100% All-Natural, Scratch-Made, Southern-Style Cake Shop, announces the launch of its 2010 Spring Menu. The menu includes most of the cakes that the shop has traditionally offered, and has added 10 new cake flavors to the line-up. Short Street Cakes cupcakes, wedding cakes and birthday cakes have met critical and popular acclaim in the little over a year since the business opened its retail operation at 225 Haywood Road in West Asheville, and the new menu represents a new level of expertise in the classic tradition of Southern cakes.
Some of the new menu items include a buttermilk white cake with cooked caramel icing, a peanut butter chocolate cake, and a fresh coconut cake with seven minute icing, as well as the new and much-discussed bacon apple deluxe cake.
Short Street Cakes continues to use local and organic ingredients whenever possible, and is committed to local Asheville community and culture through supporting local grassroots non-profits and artists.
The new menu can be viewed starting on Wednesday, April 7th, at www.shortstreetcakes.com. The cake shop is open Wednesday through Saturday from Noon until 6pm, and open by appointment/special order only on Sundays and Mondays. The Cake Shop is closed on Tuesdays. All whole cake orders require 48 hours notice, and a variety of cupcakes are always available for sale during shop hours.
