Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale - October 8th, 9th and 10th at 8 pm, and the 11th at 7 pm

We began with ten cast members and the script of Shakespeare's wonderous and heartfelt story. Through improvisation and discussion, the Warren Wilson Theatre ensemble has created a unique production of this tale, which is "best for winter." It's not quite winter yet, but there is a chill in the air that recalls days gone by and stories lost to Time...
When King Leontes suspects his wife and best friend of betraying him, he changes the lives of those closest to him and others yet unborn. A lost infant, a singing rouge, a ravenous bear, the god Apollo, and Time each play a part in this "small epic" played for you in an intimate arena at Warren Wilson College.
The four performances are at 8 p.m. this Thursday through Saturday, and on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Kittredge Theatre on the Warren Wilson College campus. For directions, click here.
Admission is free for all area students, $5 for senior citizens and WWC staff and alums, and $10 for everyone else. Seating is limited to 75 audience members per performance, so call (828) 771-3040 to make reservations, or write to theatre@warren-wilson.edu.
