Last week, the Asheville Tourists baseball team was sold. Though most details have yet to be revealed, Bill Shea from Crain's Detroit Business reports:

Auburn Hills-based Palace Sports and Entertainment has reportedly sold the Asheville Tourists minor-league baseball team.

Terms of the deal, reported today by the Asheville Citizen-Times, were not made public.

The sale of the North Carolina team is to the DeWine family's DeWine Seeds Silver Dollar Baseball L.L.C., which includes Ohio attorney general hopeful and former U.S. Senator Mike DeWine.

The team is the Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

PS and E President Tom Wilson told Crain's in November that talks to sell the team had been under way for months. A message was left for him this afternoon.
