Goodbye Savoy, Hello Vinnies!!
Goodbye Savoy
Savoy has changed and grown with Asheville over the years, leading the way with innovations and trends, always sensitive to our community's conditions and needs. After 10 award-winning years as Asheville's finest contemporary dining experience.
Savoy will be closing its doors on January 31 st.
While it is with a heavy heart that I close Savoy, I am thrilled to bring Vinnie's Neighborhood Italian Restaurant to our community, serving the best in "old school" family style Italian-American food, at the same convenient location.
Returning to my New York roots and paying homage to Vinnie Cappola, a dear family friend and legendary New York restaurateur, Vinnie's will serve contemporary "old school" Italian-American food with its legendary flavors. Vinnie's will be a celebration of food, family, friends, and fun at affordable prices. Vinnie's will continue to support our community by remaining farm to table fresh while delivering the best of Savoy's landmark service, quality, and attention to detail.
Join me as we create a new Asheville tradition: Come. Eat. Enjoy. And continue to help us 'Regret nothing in matters of love and food.' We sincerely look forward to seeing you and serving you at Vinnie's.
Vinnie's will be opening the second week of February. Stay tuned for more details to come.
It is with immense and heart felt gratitude that my family and I say thank you for 10 glorious years!!
We look forward to continuing to create memories together for many years to come at Vinnie's Neighborhood Italian restaurant.
Sincerely,
Eric

Dave,
I am also excited about having another good Italian restaurant in town, right now we only have 2 that I really like. Hopefully it will be cheaper than Savoy. We usually go to Savoy once each year, but will have to go again before it closes.

Thankfully it will be italian and not another mexican restaurant. refried refried beans is beans! :-) PS I loved the Savoy and ate there many times, but the price did become prohibitive. Let me know if you need a good marketing guy! Looking forward to your new venture. Personally, I found Fiore's barely tolerable, and LOVE Vincenzo's. Give me another "new york style" italian place and I'll be in "hog" heaven.

Really looking forward to the reopening. I live around the corner from the Savoy and I have always enjoyed Savoy's service and food. I only wish that the scallops with fried leeks could make the transition ooh and the local mushroom brushetta yum.

I love Ashville! I come here every year for the rock climbing. I will have to check out this restaurant next time I am there. I am always up for Italian food!

Good! Now maybe I can afford to eat there, and we love Italian food. I'm REALLY glad you aren't opening a Mexican restaurant. But a restaurant that has a good selection of well cooked vegetables would be wonderful, since we don't have any of those.
