French Broad River Fishing Report - October 26th, 2011

Season on the French Broad is winding down; probably about 3 weeks left of quality fishing before it gets too cold for consistent action. Conditions are very good now as the river is clear and low flowing. Weeds in the river have been an issue here in the fall and continue to be, especially in shallow areas. Smallmouth do not seem to mind the weeds but they can be frustrating to anglers that do not have a weedless presentation ready. Expect to find fish in classic smallmouth locations, like behind boulders in the current and inside of seam lines. Fish warm parts of the day now for best action, and call Chris Manderson, 828 216 1336, or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com for more about fishing the French Broad River.
