French Broad River Fishing Report - May 28 2014

The river has had a stain recently that has slowed fishing some over the last week, but when the French Broad has been clear the fishing has been very good. Smallmouth are holding in their normal early summer spots-behind rocks, along seam lines, and in gentle runs. While the river has some stain use bright colors and lures with rattles, and as it clears switch to more natural color patterns. Crankbaits and plastics have been effective on our last few trips.
