French Broad River Fishing Report - June29th, 2011

The French Broad River has been pretty clear this week and the fishing has been really good. Flow level has been falling, and now it is about 2/3 normal for this time of year. Afternoon storms are still a worry for the potential to mud the river up and foul the fishing. Smallmouth have been very active, especially in the morning and evenings. Trips averaged about 45 fish per boat this week, with most catching a fish or two 16" or larger. Some nice Redbreasted Sunfish are being caught, too; fish the slackwater areas to find them. Call Chris Manderson, 828 216-1336, or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com for more information about fishing the FBR.
