French Broad River Fishing Report - June 6th, 2012

Flow levels have really dropped over the last week or so; now the river pretty low for this time of year, about 1100 cfs. Low flows usually mean clear flows, and that is the case now. Conditions on the river are very good; trips are averaging about 60 smallmouth per day, with most being around 10" but with a trophy or two in the 16" range mixed in most of the time. Fish are widely spread out, especially in shoal and rapid areas. Covering as much water as possible seems to be the key to consistent action.
