French Broad River Fishing Report - June 22nd, 2011

The French Broad River has been stained this week by afternoon thunderstorms washing silt into the flow.  Some days have been effected more than others, but the river has had color all week.  Generally there needs to be some clarity to catch smallmouth; a mud flow isnt good for fishing.  Still, several days this week were great days on the river fishing as trips averaged about 25 smallmouth.  Use bright lures on stained water, and try rattling lures as well.  Call Chris Manderson, 828 216-1336 or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com for more information about fishing the FBR.
