French Broad River Fishing Report - June 15th, 2011

Although afternoon storms have put some color into the river, the French Broad is fishing great right now. Water clarity has been variable from today to today, and has been hard to predict; it depends on just where the storms hit as to how much silt washes in to the river, and where the silt enters the flow. Still, trips this week averaged catching and releasing about 35 fish per day. Smallmouth are active now, especially mornings and evenings. If water is murky try bright colors and lures with rattles, otherwise use natural patterns. Call Chris Manderson, 828 216-1336, or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com for more information about fishing the FBR.
