French Broad River Fishing Report - April 4th, 2012

The French Broad has a little stain from PM thunderstorms but still has had enough clarity for some really nice days on the river recently. Our trips have averaged about 25 smallmouth per outing, with most having a nice trophy like the 19.5" chunk in the image with Barry from Gray, GA. Fish are a little sluggish even with how warm it has been, but still more active than usual for this early in the year. Use presentations that work deep, that is where they are right now. Jigs have been effective, in natural colors. Call Chris Manderson, 828 216-1336, or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com for more information about fishing the French Broad River.
