French Broad River Fishing Report - 9/15/2010

Chris Manderson

The river is pretty low now; it is flowing about half the average for this date. Because of this it is much easier to get around out there and wade fish. It is also flowing clear for the most part, so topwater action is a possibility, especially in the morning. And, due to cooler fall weather smallmouth have been active most of the day. Please be aware that goose season runs through the end of the month so hunters may be encountered on the river in areas out of the city limits. Call Chris Manderson at 828 216-1336, or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com, for more information about fishing the French Broad River.
