French Broad River Fishing Report - 8/4/2010

The last few days have been a bunch of fun on the river! Summer storms have muddied the water some but not severely; the smallmouth bite has been really good. Trips have averaged more than 50 fish even with the stain this week. River levels have been pretty steady at about 60% of the average for this time of year, which is medium-low. Fish are still holding in shallows early and seem to be deeper as the heat of the day arrives. Lures with scent and rattles have been effective this week. Call Chris Manderson (828 216-1336) or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com for more information about fishing the French Broad River.
