French Broad River Fishing Report - 7/21/2010

The Asheville area has had thundershowers most afternoons recently. The river has a stain now, and the flow is up considerably, too. Smallmouth fishing is still good as long as anglers switch to lures that are bright, noisy, or scented. A slower presentation is also a good idea, in order to give the fish some more time to react. Generally fish the same areas: seam lines in runs and shoals and shallow areas with current. Avoid mid-day (12-3) if you can. Call Chris Manderson (828 216-1336) or visit www.whitewatersportsman.com for more information about fishing the French Broad Rriver.
