Bruisin' Ales Presented Community Award

Just over a week ago, our charity - FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway - presented us with a Community Award at the new REI store in South Asheville. Bruisin' Ales was honored as a top area fundraiser for the non-profit (almost $2000 over two years), which subsidizes governmental funds to maintain the Blue Ridge Parkway, protect views and trails, clean-up trash, get rid of invasive species, and save the native ones, like the hemlocks. We were very happy to receive this award!
The Parkway is in great need of funding for all these things. The Asheville sector is one of the most traveled and least funded. If you'd like to be a part of FRIENDS, you can join here or donate here, choosing where you'd like your money to go. Many of you spend weekends on Parkway property, so please give if you can (or donate your time!) to this wonderful charity.
