Dear Bubbi,

I have a son who I raised alone after my husband (his Dad) left us. After all was done, including college, my ex husband suddenly reappears and wants to be his son's best friend. Frankly, I'm aggravated beyond words. I struggled to raise our son and his Dad was nowhere to be found until the job was done. My son is now 23 and I want to tell him how I feel about his Father. Do you think I should?

Dear Aggravated Ex Wife,

This depends on what you hope to accomplish by sharing your feelings of resentment with your son. Do you want him to dislike his Father as much as you do? I think it would be better to release these bottled up emotions with a trained professional who can help you sort through your feelings before you say anything to your son about his Dad.

Dear Bubbi,

My Grandmother wants me to move in with her and help with chores in exchange for free room and board. I'm thinking about it as a way to cut my expenses and pay off my debt. My problem is, my Granny is very old fashioned and would not allow me to have a "friend" sleep over. I'm 24 and this might be a problem.

~Granny's Favorite

Dear Granny's Favorite,

I'm going to side with your Bubbi (Granny) on this one. It's HER house and she certainly has the right to set the rules. I think she has made you a sweet offer and if I was in your shoes, I would give it some serious thought. You and your "friend" can always find another place to go... to be "friendly!"
