Dear Bubbi,

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year. I just got a job transfer two hundred miles away and now the two of us will have to commute back and forth to see each other. He's very supportive of everything, but I'm having doubts about all the changes. I'm afraid it's going to be too hard to have a long distance relationship.

You really won't know until you try! A solid relationship can survive all kinds of challenges. I like the fact that your boyfriend is supportive of what you have going on in your life. That's a very good sign. Why don't you take it day by day and not anticipate situations that may or may not happen down the road

Dear Bubbi,

I have four boys and I want to try to have another baby with the hopes that it will be a girl. My husband is against the idea because of the rocky economy and the time and expense involved in raising children. Do you think I'm being unreasonable?

Dear Wanting A Little Girl,

As the Mother of four children, I understand your husband's concerns about expanding the family. The most obvious question is, "How would you feel if you found out that you were having another boy?" You can't exactly return it to sender! My thought is...You have been blessed with four sons and that's quite a nice family. You are the Queen of the castle! Down the road you may end up with some terrific daughter-in-laws and granddaughters. Keep that in mind, if your husband stands firm on his decision not to have more children.
