Ask Bubbi

Dear Bubbi,

I finally found a new potentially lucrative sales job but now that I've got it, I'm not that excited by it. I feel like I settled, just because the job market is so bad and I need to pay my bills. What do you suggest I do?

~Unhappy Guy

Unhappy Guy,

I say, "Put on a happy face" and be grateful that you found anything in this frustrating job market. Give it your all and you might discover that you like the fruits of your labor enough to stick with the job! If not, keep searching for something else.

Dear Bubbi,

I have the greatest family in the world but they are way too involved in my life. Every time I meet a new guy, it's all over the family in ten minutes. I start getting calls from all my female relatives asking, "Is he the one?" How do I tell them nicely to mind their own business?

~Need My Privacy

Dear Need My Privacy,

This letter sounds suspiciously familiar. Did one of my nieces write this? We (I mean your relatives) don't mean to be such yentas (gossips). They're just happy that you met a nice guy and they want to hear all about him. If we (I mean they) get on your nerves, just politely tell them if you have any news, they'll be the first to know. P.S. Just remember which Auntie was always there for you as a child and tell her FIRST!!
