Contestants from across the country will bring their culinary masterpieces to The Grove Park Inn this holiday season. Delight in the imagination shown in these sugar-and-spice creations, strolling through the competition display is a sure way to be swept up in the holiday spirit.

Viewing is Nov. 18 - Jan. 3, 2010 Community Viewing is Monday-Thursday only. Resort Guests may view the display at anytime. Groups traveling by bus or passenger van must make parking reservations prior to arrival. Please note that these groups must have dining or lodging reservations or will be charged a parking fee. Large vehicle parking reservations are available only by calling 1-800-438-0050, ext. 1281.

This Weeks Featured Events


Montford Park Players 33rd Annual Production of A Christmas Carol
This year performances will be at the Asheville Arts Center at 308 Merrimon Avenue.
When: Thursdays - Sundays, 3rd - 6th and 10th - 13th
Performances will be at 7:30 pm, plus a 3:30 pm matinee on Sunday, Dec. 6th.
Cost: Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and $6 for children under 18.

Biltmore Village Dickens Festival
The Biltmore Village brings Dickens to life with period consumes, storytelling, carolers and more.
When: Friday the 4th 5 - 7 pm, Saturday the 5th 11 am - 7 pm, and Sunday the 6th 1 - 5 pm
Cost: This is a free event.

Asheville Mural Project Fundraiser at Pisgah Brewing
Come celebrate the Asheville Mural Project and help support Arts2People, the non-profit who helped organize the project. Benefit event will include live music from a variety of local bands including the Asheville Horns.
Pisgah Brewing Company is located at 150 Eastside Drive in Black Mountain.
When: Saturday, December 5th from 4 pm till 2 am.
Cost: Tickets on a sliding scale from $5 -$10.

Asheville Seasonal Sizzle
Come downtown for fireworks choreographed to Christmas music. Includes carolers, roving performers and holiday shopping.
When: Taking place Saturday, 5th, 12th and 19th at 7 pm.

The Big Crafty
A juried independent craft fair featuring over 100 artists and crafters. A great place to do Christmas shopping while supporting local artists.
When: Sunday, December 6th from Noon - 6 pm
At Pack Place in Downtown Asheville.

North Carolina Symphony - Holiday Pops Concert
When: Taking place on Thursday, December 10th at 8 pm,
at Lipinski Auditorium on the campus of UNC-Asheville.
Cost: Tickets are $25 for general admission. $10 for children 10 and under.

Asheville FM Presents the Anti-Jam Jamboree
Come out and support local radio, hear DJ sets from station DJs, and much more.
When: Friday, December 11th from 8 am till ???

Warren Haynes Presents 21st Annual Christmas Jam
When: Saturday, December 12th at 7 pm,
at the Asheville Civic Center.
Cost: Tickets are $55.
