Asheville Pizza: Area Classic
Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co is a local place where my mom, Veronica, and I go sometimes to go eat or watch a movie. There are two locations: One at 675 Merrimon Ave, and the 2nd is located at 77 Coxe Ave. The Merrimon location is the only one with a theatre. They have movies for $3/person, which is not bad compared to the $8 movie prices at regular theaters. This also means that the movies are not recent releases so it might not be a bad idea to to wait to go to the film you want to see. The movies usually change each week unless it is a popular box office hit and, in that case film will be there an extra week or so.
They have it set up where you can eat and watch a movie at the same time. If you want go to a movie, it would be a good idea to get there with tickets in hand at least 30 to 40 minutes before. There is a good chance you will be stuck just eating dinner or waiting for the next showing if you do not have your tickets ahead of time. Sometimes if the film is very popular, like Slumdog Millionaire for example, there is good chance you might have to wait a day or even a whole week before going to see the movie.
The Coxe location is just a bar and restaurant. They do have some games, but they are outdoor games mostly for the older crowd. The games are ladder golf and cornhole. The Coxe location is better if you just want to eat or drink and get away from the noisy kids. The Merrimon location is better for families because it has more family and kid type games.
Another reason it is good for families is that it is affordable and the atmosphere is casual. The game room is located on the opposite side from the theatre. The game room is good for people you have kids. They can play video games and be wild, and it does not matter like it would in most restaurants. Most of the games they have are the common games you would find in most game rooms.

I really enjoyed your article and I forget about going there. I have 4 kids and we often can't afford to do dinner and a movie. Thanks for the great info and reminding me!!

In the middle of the last paragraph I meant to say, "The game room is good for people if they have kids" instead of "The game room is good for people you have kids".
