Now that Asheville's Animal Control Ordinance has been changed to be more permissive of urban chickens, it's time to shift Asheville City Chickens from a grassroots political group to a group of engaged urban chickeners interested in raising chickens in a city setting and dedicated to helping others in their endeavors. In order to facilitate that Cathy has set up a MeetUp.com account to allow us to arrange get togethers among those interested in urban chickens in the Asheville area.
The first MeetUp will be on May 21, 2009 at 6pm. We encourage everyone to sign-up on MeetUp.com to get updates on our future MeetUps and to sign up for the first MeetUp. Hope to see everyone there!Check out our MeetUp.com page:
