Asheville City Parking Decks
All decks are accessible 24 hours per day
Attendants on duty: 10:00am – 7:00pm Monday through Friday.
Civic Center Garage

First hour free and $.50 per hour or part of an hour thereafter.
Daily Maximum of $4.00.
After hours rate is $1.00 per exit.
$7.00 for Special Events.
Rankin Avenue Garage

First hour free and $.75 per hour or part of an hour thereafter.
Daily Maximum of $6.00.
After hours rate is $1.00 per exit.
$6.00 for Special Events.
Wall Street Garage

First hour free and $.75 per hour or part of an hour thereafter.
Daily Maximum of $6.00.
After hours rate is $2.00 per exit.

Civic Center Deck $70.

$60.00 per month.
On-Street Permit Parking and Off-Street Permit Parking is available at a rate of $35-$70 per month and is sold on a first come first serve basis.

Surface or Street Parking & Merchant Validation

Surface lots are located throughout the downtown area. Choose from metered lots for short-term parking and monthly lots for long-term leasing. Contact Parking Services for information on perimeter permit parking.
And just ask, most merchants will gladly validate deck parking, saving you part of all of your parking expense. Of course, for a short visit downtown, street parking could be your best choice at a cost of $1 per hour. Weekdays and Saturdays, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Asheville has multi-coin meters that let you select the amount of time you need, ranging from a few minutes to a couple of hours. Street parking is free on Sundays, evenings and official city holidays.

New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Forth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas (3 days).
Loading Zones
Load or unload quickly. A stop in one of the city’s designated loading zones is limited to 30 minutes. These spaces are not parking spaces! All loading zones are clearly marked, and failure to use them properly could result in a fine.
Asheville Parking Citations, Fees and Fines

Nobody likes getting a parking citation, but please remember, parking regulations are designed for the safety and convenience of everyone. If you receive a parking citation in downtown Asheville, payment will be enforced. To make it as convenient as possible, however, citations may be paid at the City Building or during regular hours at the exit station of any City owned parking deck downtown. A late penalty will be assessed within 15 days for non-payment of citations.
